          Total Learning Academy… who are we? We are an independent school that is currently the fastest growing educational institutional in all of Myanmar, and a growing influence in the greater South East Asia region. At each of our branches, we seek to provide the very highest standards of quality for our students, teachers, staff, and administrators. Starting at the early childhood age, classes continue through the secondary level where we provide Cambridge International ‘A’ Level Examinations. We ensure that all our students actively engage with the subject matter and use enhanced critical thinking skills to develop confidence and mastery in academics. Our instructors attend on-going training courses with top teacher trainers and life coaches from America and Australia; and our administrators regularly attend intensive leadership trainings abroad.
          However, if our sole focus were intellectual development alone, we would be neglecting other major areas of growth and learning, and not living up to the very name of our academy itself. That is why at all of our schools we make it a priority to provide a “total” education to our students. Our classes and activities are holistic and experiential, engaging the mind and body equally and the interconnection between the two. We anchor our education in the development of social skills that is built upon a strong ethical and moral foundation, and balance the intellectual rigor with attention towards emotional needs. We honor and encourage spiritual growth and serve our students’ learning by strengthening their attitudes and growing their awareness. Above all, within the vast variety of learning experiences we offer, we want to make sure our students are actually enjoying themselves in the process of their own growth.
          While this holistic approach to education refines the students’ intrapersonal consciousness, it is equally essential that we support their interpersonal development as well. At Total Learning Academy, we have a deep responsibility towards the community around us, and endeavor to share this commitment to our student body. Within our own community at the academy, we embrace and celebrate our diversity, and explore what each of our unique backgrounds has to offer and share. We also study and honor our own common heritage as the people of Myanmar, and learn about our rich traditions, overlapping histories, and about our lands and its resources. But far from simply studying, our teachers and students regularly venture into Yangon and greater Myanmar to actively discover and engage in what our country and its peoples have to offer.
          As our students become instilled with this commitment and dedication to community, we expect them to go on towards leading forth a brighter Myanmar. Our top quality standards and international credentials will help them attend the best universities abroad, and it is our hope that the pride and honor they develop towards our local communities will bring them back to their country of origin. We apply the most modern methodologies and technologies in our class, while ensuring that our classrooms retain and reinforce their strong connections to Myanmar customs and traditions. It is our very deeply held belief that all individuals have the potential to achieve the same dizzying heights of success, if only they are given the opportunity to have effective teaching and training.
